She was predeceased by: her parents, Stanislaw Walega and Emilia Walega (Chmura); and her husband Mieczyslaw "Maxi" J. Petraniuk. She is survived by: her daughter Betty Wright (Mike); her grandchildren, Tia Wright of Chicago, IL. and Matthew Wright of Chicago, IL.; her stepsister Danuta Slaby of Poland; her niece Marjola Slaby of Poland; and her goddaughter Carol Chapdelaine of East Longmeadow. She is also survived by many cousins, friends.
