He is survived by: his wife Wladyslawa Szmyd (Rogala); his siblings, Tadeusz Szmyd (Maria) of Michigan, Stasia Brajta of Georgia and Teresa Gravlin (Ed) of Georgia; and his sisters-in-law, Halina Szmyd Kowal (Stefan) of Chicopee and Zofia Zawadzki (Marian) of Chicopee. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
