He was predeceased by: his parents, Jan Tarka and Anna Tarka (Kowal); and his sister Isabella Tarka. He is survived by: his wife Czesia Tarka (Kulcenty); his sons, Robert J. Tarka (Katarzyna) and Joseph M. Tarka; his grandchildren, Daniel and Natalia; and his sisters, Franciszka Karas (Jan) of Chicopee and Sophie Moryl (Marian) of Chicopee. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
