He is survived by: his wife Alexandra Carapeta (Fevereiro) of Chicopee; his daughters, Ines Burek (Adam) of Chicopee and Sofia Leavitt (Tyler) of Maine; and his brother Luis Carapeta (Maria Joao) of Portugal. He is also survived by grandchildren along with many extended family members and friends.
