He was predeceased by: his parents, Eva C. II (Barsalou) and John W. Potts, II. He is survived by: his sisters, Valerie Duprey (Ron Sagan) and Dolly Patterson of Orlando, FL; his nieces and nephews, Gerry Duprey, Jr. (Troy), Michael Duprey (Laura), Stephanie Guertin (Tom) and Jack Patterson; and his pet Jasper.

“Dear Aunt Val and Uncle Ron, I am so incredibly sad that we have lost our beloved family member. I miss my Uncle John. He was such a good man. I will cherish all of the adventures we had together and the memories I have experienced over the past 59 years. Thank you for loving him and all of the sacrifices you have both made throughout your lives to assist Uncle John. He sure was a blessing to our family. I'm sure Nana and Grandpa are happy to have him with them. I will never forget Uncle John.”
