John Marnelakis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Marnelakis (Chicopee, Massachusetts), who passed away on July 7, 2019, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Marnelakis and Anna Marnelakis Hatzakis (Xenakis). He is survived by: his wife Carol Mancz Marnelakis; his daughters, Alexie Westerfield (John) of Winchester, MA and Lainie Driscoll (Mark) of Boston; his grandchildren, William, Callie Westerfield and Zoe Driscoll; and his sisters, Kathy Kambourakis (Kostas) of Crete, Greece and Ellen Hatzakis (Michael Schoenberg) of East Longmeadow. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Saint Luke Greek Orthodox Church, 400 Prospect Street, East Longmeadow, MA 01028 or to the scholarship funds of the Cretan Association, 35 Carew Street, Springfield, MA 01104 and the AHEPA, PO Box 1393, Chicopee, MA 01021-1393.
