We are sad to announce that on August 25, 2019, at the age of 86, John K. Bastin (Chicopee, Massachusetts), born in Atlanta, Georgia passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, Ruth Slentz of Macon, GA, Dorothy Pinyan of Canton, GA, Jo Smith of Dallas, TX, Clinton Bastin of Decatur, GA, Alfred Bastin of Decatur, GA and Roger Bastin of Huntsville, AL..

He is survived by: his wife Ethel Bastin (Stanford) of Waycross, GA; and his children, Nevin G. Bastin, Lois Adams (Omar) and Damon J. Bastin (Lisa). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and many friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders USA, Inc, 333 Seventh Ave, 2nd Floor, New York, NY 10001.
