We are sad to announce that on June 16, 2023 we had to say goodbye to John F. McGuire of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Holyoke, Massachusetts. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, James R. McGuire and Ruth B. McGuire (Jurgensen); his wife Jean M. "Jeannie" McGuire (Borowiec); his brother James R. "Skip" McGuire; and his brother-in-law Robert L. "Bob" Pajak.

He is survived by: his daughters, Maureen K. Penna (Michael) of Hampden, Karyn B. Ardizoni (Richard) of Enfield, CT and Kristin M. Tully (Donald "Shack" Whitney) of York, ME; his grandchildren, Sarah Penna (Julian Calv), Samantha Combs (Jason Labbe), Hannah Combs (Dan Fiorenzano), Logan Tully (Andrew Ricciardelli), Conor Tully (Gabriela Gomes), Riley Tully (Tanner Munizich) and Megan Tully; his sister Barbara A. Pajak of Chicopee; his siblings-in-law, Alice M. McGuire of South Hadley, Chester "Sam" Borowiec of Windsor, CT and David Borowiec of Agawam; and his close friend Chrissie Pedolzky. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.

Because of his love of animals, his family has requested that memorial donations be made in Jack's memory to the Westfield Homeless Cat Project, 1124 East Mountain Road, Westfield, MA 01085.

“I am so sad to learn of Jack’s death. I got to know Jack when I trapped the feral cats he and Jeannie cared for. Jack had a heart of gold when it came to those cats. Now that Jack crossed to the other side, I picture him with Jeannie at his side and Rocky, his special cat, on his lap purring away. I am sorry for your loss.”
