We are sad to announce that on November 23, 2024, at the age of 62, Joanne Marie Zemanek of Chicopee, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her father Clement Ruel. She is survived by: her mother Alice Ruel (Lamontagne) of Chicopee; her husband Richard E. Zemanek; her children, Andrew Zemanek (Katherine) and Rachael Zemanek; her friend Lewis Kerrebrock; her siblings, Marc Ruel (Tracy), Donald Ruel (Debbie), Constance Cullen (Joe) and Charlene Ruel (John Hebert); and her brother-in-law John Zemanek (Elizabeth). She is also survived by extended family members and friends.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:45 AM at the Forastiere Smith Funeral & Cremation (220 N Main St, East Longmeadow, MA 01028). A graveside service was held on Saturday, November 30th 2024 at 12:00 PM at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery (800 Montgomery St, Chicopee, MA 01013).
A procession will form and journey to St. Stanislaus Cemetery, 800 Montgomery St., Chicopee where a graveside service will take place at 12:00 NOON.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control & Adoption Center, 627 Cottage St. Springfield, MA 01104.
