With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Joan (Yando) M Martin of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Springfield, Massachusetts, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on August 20, 2024 at the age of 84. She was predeceased by: her parents, Gerald E. Yando and Julia C. Yando (Maslowski); and her husband Richard A. Martin, Sr.. She is survived by: her children, Kimberly Thompson (Jon) of Chesapeake, VA, Karen Martin of Jacksonville, FL, Kristine Breen of Chester, NH, Karleen Martin of West Springfield, Richard A. Martin, Jr. of Newport News, VA and Carolyn Martin of Chicopee. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Cierpial Memorial Funeral Home (69 East St, Chicopee, MA 01020). A funeral service was held on Saturday, August 24th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
