He was predeceased by: his parents, Edgar Ewing and Frances Ewing (Grell); his daughter Debra Cushing; his granddaughter Dana Cushing; and his brothers, Eugene "Red" Ewing and Ed Ewing.
He is survived by: his children, David (Francine) of Easthampton, Gary (Debbie) of Belchertown, Scott (Pam) of Chicopee, Julie Mis (Bill) of Westfield and Kristy Dunning (Mike) of South Hadley; his sister Betty Murray of Kentucky; and his nieces, Loretta Endicott (Paul) of Grove City and Lorraine Griffith (Bob) of Orient. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
