With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Gary L. Somers of Chicopee, Massachusetts, born in Greensboro, North Carolina, who passed away on November 24, 2022 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Somers and Mary Somers (Lee); his siblings, Michael Somers, Leslie Somers (Janice), Patricia Somers and Geraldine Coppolo; and his siblings-in-law, Eleanor Powers (Clarence), Helen Geraghty (William), Raymond Vershon (Nancy) and Francis Vershon (Carol).
He is survived by: his wife Rosemary V. Somers (Vershon); his children, Karen S. Rousseau (Jean) of Chicopee, Jeffrey S. Somers (Lynn) of Northborough and Michele L. Theberge (Andrew) of Chicopee; his grandchildren, Deanna Rousseau-McAuliffe (Joel), Dominique Rousseau, Regan, Alec, Kaley, Fiona, Ian, Dylan Somers, Garret, Peter Theberge and Matthew Meserve; his sister Sandra Beaulieu (Gerard) of Florida; and his sister-in-law Lauria St. Onge of Chicopee.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Alzheimer's Association, 309 Waverley Oaks Road, Waltham, MA 02452.
