He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Frederick K. Rider and Bessie E. Rider (Curtiss); his wife Mary K. Crochiere Rider (Dowds); his sons, Frederick W. Rider, Jr. (Elizabeth Matzko) of Agawam and Thomas W. Rider (Cynthia) of Vero Beach, FL; his stepsons, George K. Crochiere (Nancy) of Pepperell, MA, Paul K. Crochiere (Nancy) of Amesbury, MA, Thomas M. Crochiere (Ann) of Wilbraham, Jeffrey D. Crochiere (Kia Smith) of South Dakota and Steven M. Crochiere (Parichart Saengchote) of Longmont, CO; his grandchildren, Jennifer, Melanie and Thomas Rider; his stepgrandchildren, Gordon Crochiere, Danielle Cantor (Bradford, Rebecca Crochiere), Mary Clare Crochiere, Grace Crochiere, Makiya Crochiere and Mark Crochiere; his stepgreat-grandson Henry Cantor; his son William C. Rider; and his siblings, Vernon Rider (Alfreda), Nellie Goodwin (David) and Barbara Sheehan. He was also cherished by nephews, nieces, cousins, friends.
His family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Bethany Assembly of God, 580 Main Street.
