He was predeceased by: his parents, Jozef Fila and Teofila Fila (Wesek). He is survived by: his wife Danuta Peters (Czechowska); his sister Barbara; his stepdaughter Agnieszka Stemplewska (Jaroslaw); and his sister-in-law Krystyna Thompson of Holyoke. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
