He was predeceased by: his parents, Clinton F. McCarthy and Margaret E. McCarthy (Cavanaugh); and his son Kevin. He is survived by: his wife Mary "Terry" McCarthy (LaBreck); his children, Barry McCarthy (Sarah) of Somers, CT, Brendan McCarthy (Jenn) of Easthampton, Clare McCarthy, Kelly McCarthy of Truro, MA, Maureen Howe (Alan) and Springfield; his daughter-in-law Laurie McCarthy; his grandchildren, Caitlin, Madison, Sadie, Maeve and Jeffrie; his brother William McCarthy (Mary) of Chicopee; and his brothers-in-law, Gary LaBreck (Jeanne) of Chicopee and Fran LaBreck (Kathy) of Chicopee. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
