He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Piela and Mildred Piela (Kagan); and his brother Frederick Piela. He is survived by: his wife A. Piela (Padden); his children, Eugene W. Piela, Jr. (Arlene) and Christine Adamczyk (Stanley) of Chicopee; his brother Francis of Indiana; and his grandchildren, Alora Piela, Courtney Piela, Amanda Adamczyk and Nicholas Adamczyk.
