He was predeceased by: his parents, Beatrice M. Fitzgerald, (Terrien) and Edward James Fitzgerald, Sr.; and his sister Geraldine M. Fitzgerald. He is survived by: his wife Joan Gray Fitzgerald; his sons, Michael E. Fitzgerald and Gary G. Fitzgerald (Cheryl); and his grandson Patrick M. Fitzgerald. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
