He was predeceased by: his parents, Armand Guertin and Jeannette Guertin (Mercier); and his sister Janice Brunelle. He is survived by: his sisters, Mona Guertin of Maine, Patricia Dobosz of Chicopee and Susan Niemiro of Florida; and his niece Mona Brunelle of Granby. He is also survived by many nephews, extended family members and friends.

“Don and I met each other some 40 years ago. We would go out evenings to dinner or visit at I would come to his places of living in Chicopee . If someone in his family would be able to send me a picture or two of Don they would be greatly appreciated so I can look at now that he has passed us by.
