He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert L. Carter and Claire G. Carter (Hebert); and his siblings, Ronald Carter and Gail Ritchie. He is survived by: his wife Alice V. Carter (Forgette) of Chicopee; his sons, Jeffrey Carter of Chicopee and Shawn Carter (Sara) of West Springfield; his siblings, David Carter (Sheila), Robert Carter (Dee) and Pamala Kranz (William); and his sister-in-law Judy Carter. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
