He is survived by: his parents, Russell Rivest (Lori) and Teresa Costa (Sears); his parent-in-law Glen; his daughter Alyssa A. Rivest; his fiancée Jennifer Wagner; his brother Stephen P. Rivest; his aunt Barbara Maher (Rivest); and his close friend John Wagner. He is also survived by several aunts and uncles, and many cousins, nieces, and nephews.
