He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard F. Walker and Ethel D. Walker (McCray); and his sister Betty Ann Ayers (Walker). He is survived by: his pet Sheena; his wife Jean E. Walker (Fortier); his children, David A. Walker (Olga), Kimberly A. Perry (Alan), April A. Walker and Rachel A. Walker; his grandchildren, David III of Melissa, Ala, Stephanie, Alexis, Michael and Michelle; his great grandchild Spencer; and his siblings-in-law, William J. Ayers, Jr., William F. Fortier (Marie), Robert L. Fortier, John J. Fortier and Judith Fortier. He is also survived by nephews, nieces, cousins, numerous friends.
Because of David's love of animals, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to Dakin Pioneer Valley Humane Society, PO Box 6307, Springfield, MA 01101-6307.
