He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilbert D. Appleton and Elizabeth F. Appleton (Godwin); and his sister Dianne Irzyk. He is survived by: his wife Dianne Appleton (Shea); his children, Amy Robb (Andrew) of East Longmeadow and Matthew Appleton (Jenny) of Michigan; and his brother Donald (Sally) of Westfield. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
