He was predeceased by: his parents, Dorothy Malone, (Dudley) and John P. Malone, Sr.; and his brother John P. "Jack" Malone, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Terry (Quintal); his children, Shawn Malone, Navy (Heather) of Vestal and Carrie Malone Rivera (Chris) of Raleigh; his grandchildren, Samantha Malone of New York, Madison Malone of Nagasaki, Olivia Rivera and Xavier Rivera of North Carolina; his brothers, Tom Malone (Jane) of Vernon and Jim Malone of West Springfield; and his sisters-in-law, Darcia Malone (Jones) of Somers, Jacky Quintal of Milan, Irene Grötchen (Gunther) of Stein and Rhein. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, his family requests that memorial donations be made in his memory to the Saint Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.
