She was predeceased by: her parents, Philias Phaneuf and Rita Phaneuf (Martel) of Springfield St. She is survived by: her stepmother Alice Phaneuf (Botta); her husband Richard Mekal of Chicopee; her sons, Zachary Mekal (Kristyn) of Cumming, GA and Ben Mekal (Elissa) of Milton, MA; her grandchildren, Camryn, Jacoby and Conor; her siblings, Paul Phaneuf (Jeanne-Marie) of Sandy Hook, CT, Jean Zola (Henry) of Holden, MA, Nancy Reese (James) of Fairfield, CT and Margaret Puza (Bill "King" Puza) of Windham, ME; her parents-in-law, Tom, Betsy, Steve, Donna, Joan, Al Morneau and Eileen; and her close friend Bunsie (John Dominik). She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
