With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Austin Kenefick (Chicopee, Massachusetts), born in Boston, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Austin departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Austin. Though Austin may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Austin W. Kenefick, Sr. and Helen H. Kenefick (Harrigan); and his former wives, Mary Kenefick (Flanagan) and Barbara Kenefick (Jamrog). He is survived by: his daughter Molly Kenefick of Oakland, CA; his stepson Robert Levy (Susan) of Clinton, CT; his grandchildren, Kierstyn Berry (Shawn), Amanda Fox (David) and Ben Levy; his great grandchildren, Lenora and Margot; and his wife Sue.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, November 6th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Church (395 Chestnut St, Springfield, MA 01104).
