He was predeceased by: his parents, Fernando Ferreira and Patrocina Ferreira; the mother of his children Lillian Ferreira (Costello); his wife Josephine Ferreira (Giambusso); his brothers, Joseph and Fernando Ferreira; and his son Jeffrey Ferreira (Laurie).

He is survived by: his children, Mark Ferreira (Maureen), Peter Ferreira (Patty), Brian Ferreira (Martha), Ann Sugrue (Joe) and Paul Ferreira (Johanne Hedemann); his friend Doug Dean; his grandchildren, April Bergeron (Dan), Jenny Haddad (Neil), Jason Ferreira (Sarah), Liz Curran (Mike), Megan Ferreira (Dave Pinkham), Matt Ferreira (Danielle), Michael Ferreira (Viviana), Tim Sugrue (Krystin), Aleigh Ferreira, David Sugrue (Angela), Emilie Czupryna (Mike), Anthony Ferreira (Lexie), Nick Ferreira, Daniel Ferreira (Kathryn), Miles and Eva Ferreira; and his great grandchildren, Ava, Griffin Bergeron, Logan, Lily Haddad, Madelyn, Violet Ferreira, Ben, Colleen, Micaela Curran, Brian, Lillian Ferreira, Lyla, Chase, Theo Czupryna, Summer Ferreira, Joseph James Ferreira and Roman Ferreira.
