He was predeceased by: his father Omer Durand; and his siblings, Roy Durand, George Durand and Gloria Anthony. He is survived by: his wife Valda Durand (Villa) of Chicopee; his daughters, Rebecca Durand of Feeding Hills and Michelle Smith of Lansdowne, PA; his sister Jeanne Pelchat (Duane) of Belchertown; his grandchildren, Donavon Smith and Joshua Smith; and his great grandchild Arrisa Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
