Annmarie Shaer Obituary
The memory of Annmarie Shaer (Chicopee, Massachusetts), who passed away on December 14, 2024 at the age of 74, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. She was predeceased by: her parents, Domit J. Shaer and Eva Shaer (Naelon); her brother James D. Shaer; and her sister-in-law Nancy Rainbow Shaer. She is survived by: her daughter Christine Pollender (Michael) of Springfield; her siblings, Catherine Shaer MD (Victor Sank PhD) of Rockville, Maryland, Joseph Shaer (Debra Riley) of Feeding Hills, Thomas Shaer (Lisa Shelnitz) of Scottsdale, AZ and John Shaer (Lynne) of Rockville, MD; her sister-in-law Nancy Tine Shaer of Melrose; her grandchild Jamie Pollender; her cousins, Kathleen Keefe Ternes, Lloyd Ternes of Salem and Donna Keefe of Salisbury; and her friend Barbara Wanczyk of South Hadley. She is also survived by many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Grise Funeral Home (280 Springfield St, Chicopee, MA 01013). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorial contributions may be made to Dakin Humane Society, Doctors Without Borders or the American Civil Liberties Union. Annmarie specifically requested that no donations be made to right-wing causes in her name.
