Nye of Cheshire, Massachusetts, born in Adams, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John E. Nye and Alida Nye Gagnon (Lipka). He is survived by: his wife Shirley A. Bassett; his sons, Daniel Nye (Jill) of Cheshire and Brian Nye of Cheshire; his siblings, Peter Nye of Lanesboro and Deborah Yurkevicius of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Daniel Nye, Jr. of Pownal, VT, Colleen O'Hearn of North Adams and Maximus Nye of Concord, MI; and his great grandchildren, Eythen, Ian, Marlee, Liam, Alan, Logan and Kinsley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
