It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael E. Nye of Cheshire, Massachusetts, born in Adams, Massachusetts, who passed away on September 11, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by : his parents, John E. Nye and Alida Nye Gagnon (Lipka). He is survived by : his wife Shirley A. Bassett; his sons, Daniel Nye (Jill) of Cheshire and Brian Nye of Cheshire; his siblings, Peter Nye of Lanesboro and Deborah Yurkevicius of North Carolina; his grandchildren, Daniel Nye, Jr. of Pownal, VT, Colleen O'Hearn of North Adams and Maximus Nye of Concord, MI; and his great grandchildren, Eythen, Ian, Marlee, Liam, Alan, Logan and Kinsley. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
