It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Louis Virgilio of Cheshire, Massachusetts, born in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, who passed away on February 9, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. He is survived by: his wife Theresa S. Piekos; his daughters, Amy Virgilio of Rockport and Tasha Virgilio of Southampton; his grandsons, Nathan, Jaxon and Devin Pok; his brothers, Ronald Virgilio (Donna) of Pittsfield and Gary Virgilio (Anita) of Pittsfield; his children, Donald Virgilio of Reno, Janelle Virgilio and JoAnna Virgilio of Pittsfield; his mother-in-law Irene Piekos of Cheshire; and his siblings-in-law, Ann Piekos-Barber of Pittsfield, Mary Piekos of Cheshire and Robert Lipinski of Cheshire.
Visitation was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Dery-Cheshire Funeral Home (121 N State Rd, Cheshire, MA 01225). A funeral service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Assumption Church (159 Church St, Cheshire, MA 01225).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fisher House Foundation in care of DERY-CHESHIRE FUNERAL HOME, P.O. Box 445, Cheshire.
