She was predeceased by: her parents, Julio Vega and Arcadia Vega; and her brother Oscar. She is survived by: her children, Jessica Sanchez of Chelsea and Tito Sanchez, Jr. of Chelsea; her siblings, Teresa Vega of Chelsea, Felix Vega of Chelsea, Maria Vega of Puerto Rico, Maribel Vega of Chelsea and Jose A. Vega; and her grandchildren, Daniel Guilamo, Juliana Sanchez, Evelyn Sanchez, Ezequiel Sanchez and Naisiah Sanchez. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions in Nilda's name be made to St. Rose Church.
