He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrzej Galajda and Anna Galajda (Kuchta). He is survived by: his wife Irena S. Galajda (Wilk); his children, Derek Galajda (Barbara) of Peabody and Anna Fila (late Derek) of Poland; his grandchildren, Daniel Galajda, Greg Galajda, Isabella Sudol and Karolina Fila; and his great grandchildren, Jan and Cecilia Sudol. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, beloved friends.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Welsh Funeral Home (718 Broadway, Chelsea, MA 02150). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 8:30 AM at the same location. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph - St. Lazarus Church (59 Ashley St, East Boston, MA 02128). A burial will be held on Saturday, January 18th 2025 at the Puritan Lawn Memorial Park (185 Lake St, Peabody, MA 01960).
