We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2020, at the age of 83, Maureen Downey (Chelsea, Massachusetts), born in York, Maine passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Adams and Mary Adams (Smith); her husband John F. Downey; her siblings, Rosalie O'Callaghan, Edward Adams and Joseph Adams; and her granddaughter Brittany Downey.
She is survived by: her children, Michael J. Downey (Shirley) of Melrose, Robert E. "Bobby" Downey of Dunbarton, NH, Frederick C. Downey (Arlene) of Saugus, Judith Ann "Judy" Downey of Avondale, AZ and Kenneth P. Downey (Julie) of Malden; her grandchildren, Scott Downey, Tiffany Palumbo, Janelle Maynard, Shaun Downey, Jillian Downey, Jared Downey, Jianna Downey and Jaden Downey; her great grandchildren, Alyssa, Adriana and Evelyn; and her sister Marilyn Nolan of Tewksbury. She is also survived by nieces, nephews and extended family.
In Lieu of flowers, should friends desire, contributions in Maureen's memory may be made to the National Shrine of St. Jude 205 W.Monroe.
