He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Gaston Bwissa and Nyota Bwissa; his wife Elizabeth A. (Ekonde); and his children, Nadine Saidi, Noah Saidi, Etienne Saidi, Bruce Saidi, Patricia Saidi, Lionel Saidi, Gladys Mbangu, Kevin Saidi and Godelive Saidi. He was also cherished by 16 grandchildren.
