He was predeceased by: his wife Elizabeth "Betty" Lang (McKinlay); his parents, Merrill Fottler and Doris Fottler (Alborn); his grandson Justin Fottler; and his siblings, James Fottler and Nancy Mayers.
He is survived by: his children, Margaret Johnson (Rick) of Woburn, Heather Jean Mangian (John) of Savoy, IL, Doris Hathaway (Bob) of Westford, Linda Wyke (Stephen) of Westford, Bruce Fottler (Melody) of Chelmsford and David Fottler of Billerica; and his grandchildren, Paul Johnson (Megan), David Mangian (Nicole), Betsy Drumm (Pat), Matthew Wyke, Erin Shannon (Davis), Mark Johnson (Alyssa), Brandon Wyke, John Hathaway (Theresa), Amanda Seets (Terry), Ben Hathaway (Efrat), Connor Wyke (Michelle), Kyle Wyke, Jacob Fottler and Drew Fottler.
