It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Nelson McCarthy of Chelmsford, Massachusetts, born in Lowell, Massachusetts, who passed away on June 26, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles J. McCarthy and Helen R. McCarthy (Nelson). He is survived by: his wife Ruthanne (MacFadgen); his sons, Shaun (Jill McCarthy) of Westford and Brian (Allison) of Northboro; his grandchildren, Delaney, Timothy McCarthy of Westford and Calvin McCarthy of Northboro; his sister Joan Stackpole of Lowell; and his sister-in-law Maureen (James Sullivan) of Littleton. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
