She was predeceased by: her spouse Earl Kenneth Burnette; her parents, George Matthews and Rose Matthews (LeBlanc); and her sibling Thomas Matthews. She is survived by: her children, Michael K. Burnette (Helen), Linda Valentino (Kevin O'Neill), Donna (Edward Leduc) and Kimberly (Kevin MacKenna); and her siblings, Samuel Matthews and Francis O'Connell. She is also survived by six grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
