With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph Battelle Jr. (Chelmsford, Massachusetts), born in Worcester, Massachusetts, who passed away on October 18, 2018. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Battelle of Chelmsford and Renee Gallagher (William) of Reading; his grandchildren, Nora, Grace, Gabrielle, Owen and Brendan; his former wife Mary Battelle (Hanley) of Reading; his sisters, Margaret M. Battelle of Provincetown, Catherine M. Gilbert of Columbia, CT, Elizabeth A. Manach of Brewster and Patricia A. Dineen of Leicester; and his parents, Joseph R. "Bunny" and Marjorie N. Battelle (Eager). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
