She was predeceased by: her husband Richard J. Fontes of Chelmsford, Massachusetts.; and her parents, Willie Brand and Emma Brand (Hartherz). She is survived by: her daughter Gisela Wiegand-Gruber of Langendiebach, Germany.. She is also survived by 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
