He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Louise (Nelson); his parents, Kilian James and Catherine Blanche Sneden (Barnes); and his brother Kilian J. Sneden. He is survived by: his children, Carol Anne Olive of Methuen and David N. Sneden of Chelmsford; and his grandsons, Russell, Stephen Olive, Nicholas and Joshua Sneden. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
