She was predeceased by: her son Gary Abare of Acton, MA.; her sibling Ronald Girouard; and her parents, Alfred Girouard and Julia Girouard (Houle). She is survived by: her spouse Robert L. Abare; her sons, James Abare (Ann) of Gardner, MA, Lou Abare (Suz) of Methuen, MA and Tom Abare (Debbie) of Lunenburg, MA.; her grandchildren, Kristin Shetrawski of Winchendon, MA, Julie Santos of Gardner, MA, Amy Cormier of Ashburnham, MA, Michael Abare of Westford, MA, Bobby Abare of Littleton, MA, Larry Abare of Denver, CO, Thomas Abare of Brookline, MA, Gregory Abare of Lunenburg, MA and Elizabeth Abare of Lunenburg, MA; her great grandchildren, Chelsey Abare, Kaleigh Cormier, Colby Cormier, Garret Shetrawski, Jake Shetrawski, Delaney Santos, Carter Santos and Hailie Oxford; her great great grandchild Ellisyn Gauvin; and her sibling Lucilla Maurer. She is also survived by her many nieces, nephews and loyal loving friends.
