He is survived by: his wife Linda Emerson (Johnston); his children, Judith E. Jumpp (Richard), Stephen B. Emerson, Charles L. Emerson (Butch) and Abigail E. Bridge (Craig); his grandchildren, Matthew, Douglas Emerson, Laura, Gregory Jumpp, Joan, Charles Emerson, Riley and Lily Bridge; and his sister Linda D. Emerson of Raeford, NC.. He is also survived by three great grandchildren.
