He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Cavagnaro (Kennedy); his parents, Louis Cavagnaro and Claire Cavagnaro (Reed); his brother Joseph Cavagnaro; his stepchildren, Brian Leonard and Barbara Ethier; and his grandson Brian Ethier.

He is survived by: his stepdaughter Tricia (David Mastroianni) of Mashpee.

Contributions in his memory may be made to Strike Out Cancer in Kids, Maine Children's Cancer Program.
