Shirley left this world on January 14, 2025 at the age of 88, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Richard Bertrand, Norman Bertrand, Constance Thompson, Theresa Prunier, Roger Bertrand and Ruth Laflash; her son-in-law John Brackett; and her parents, Antonio Bertrand and Lillian Bertrand (Provost).
She is survived by: her husband Leo F. Buchanan; her children, David Buchanan (Brenda) of Quinebaug, CT, Dennis Buchanan (Bonnie) of Southbridge, Brian Buchanan (Donna) of Southbridge, Mark Buchanan of Southbridge, Rodney Buchanan of Southbridge, Gregory Buchanan of Southbridge, Linda Leduc (Barry) of Southbridge, Barbara Fuhrmann (Stephen) of Southbridge, Cheryl Bernier (Roland) of Southbridge, Deborah Lertora (Jim) of Southbridge, Renee Brackett of Southbridge and Natalie Renaud (Michael); and her brother Antonio Bertrand of Southbridge. She is also survived by her 14 grandchildren; her 20 great grandchildren; her 5 great-great grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home (130 Hamilton St, Southbridge, MA 01550). A funeral service was held on Sunday, January 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
