We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2024, at the age of 93, James J. Murphy Jr. of Charlton, Massachusetts, born in Worcester, Massachusetts passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his siblings, William Murphy, John Murphy, Joseph Murphy, Jean Murphy and Shirley Dowd; and his parents, James J. Murphy and Lena G. Murphy (Duclos).

He is survived by: his wife Sylvia B. Murphy (Pignataro); his children, Sylvia A. Murphy of Sturbridge and James J. Murphy, III of Charlton; and his sisters, Jane Pelkey of Worcester and Mary Lou Shagro of Worcester. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
