He was predeceased by: his parents, Leo J. Byrnes and Hilda (Power); his spouse Claire Dumas (Dumas); and his son Leo Byrnes. He is survived by: his children, Arlene of Somerville, Joseph (Mary Jane MJ) of Wilmington, James (Linda) of Wilmington, Mary Roy (Thomas) of Winthrop, Gerald (Mary) of Medford and Michael (Dawn) of Melrose; his grandchildren, Lauren Baino, Isis Sadocha, Natalia, Conor, Erika Byrnes, Jimmy Byrnes, Nora King (Byrnes), Michelle Wright (Roy), Nicole Worthington (Roy), Gerald, Siobhan Byrnes, Amanda, Emily and Patrick Byrnes; and his friend John Baino. He is also survived by 7 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.
