He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Margaret Doherty (Canney); and his siblings, Theresa Doherty of Charlestown, Margaret "Peggy" Cloudman, Frances Galli, Mary Doherty, Michael Doherty, Sarah "Sally" Gorrie, Helen Falk and Jeanne Cleary.
