He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert McCormick and Margaret McCormick (Connolly); and his sister Anne Crilley. He is survived by: his daughter Kimberly McCormick (Jason McManus); his close friend Mary T. Doherty (Vesey); his stepdaughters, Pamela McGrath (Tom) and Melissa Brennan (Rich); his grandchildren, Keira, Jake, Nora, James and Finn; and his siblings, Frank McCormick, Gerry McCormick, Joan O'Brien, Janet LaPorte, Carole McCormick, Mary Sheehan, Margaret "Peggy" O'Neill, Dorothy "Dotty" Duffy, Bobby McCormick, Paul McCormick, Donald McCormick, Arthur McCormick and Joseph McCormick. He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
