He was predeceased by: his parents, James A. McNeil and Mildred E. McNeil (Austin); his wife Patricia A. McNeil (Libby); his son Douglas McNeil; his grandson James; and his sibling Boston Firefighter James "Crash" McNeil (late Joanne).
He is survived by: his children, Briana McNeil, Gary McNeil, Sharleen McNeil, Kaileigh McNeil and Billy McNeil; his grandchildren, Greg, Nicole, Douglas, Jack, John, Quinlan, Aidan and Alanna; his great grandchildren, Ryan, Rory and Grayson; and his sister Sharon Fitzgerald (late Thomas). He is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
