He was predeceased by: his brother James Schechterle (Barbara) of Byron. He is survived by: his parents, Sarah Schechterle and Joseph Schechterle of Colrain, MA; his wife Janice Richardson Schechterle; his grandchildren, Aaron Abbott (Alyssa), Abigail Booth Cassell (James), Tara Abbott Gibbs (Cameron) and Juliann Booth; and his great grandchildren, William Abbott and Pierce Abbott.
Memorial donations may be made to the First Baptist Church of Colrain in lieu of flowers.
